2016 Mercedes Benz GLS Redesign – Mercedes-Benz has released official images of the new Mercedes Benz GLS, the heir to the GL that will be unveiled at the Los Angeles (November 17 to 29, with the first two days reserved for the press). Beyond the name change, consistent with the new rules adopted by marketing the German, the GLS is a complete redesign of the GL with respect to which is essentially different to the style of the front, the headlights and bumper.
The news. Available in new colors for the body and with unusual alloy wheels, 2016 Mercedes GLS mounted LED headlights, which reflect the design of the more recent models of the Star. The interior offers seven seats and was renovated by changing the center console with the introduction of the 8-inch touch screen tablet style and the infotainment system COMAND Online. Also new are the touchpad and controls in the armrest, steering wheel and air conditioning system is now also available with built-in ionizer.
2016 Mercedes Benz Engines
The renewed range of engines includes the twin-turbo V8 from 450 hp (550 GLS), the V6 twin turbo 367 hp (GLS 450), in addition to the V6 3.0-liter diesel with 258 hp (GLS 350d). Rounds off the sporty GLS 63 AMG 585 hp. All versions have the standard wheel drive 4Matic and 9G-Tronic dual clutch, with the exception of the AMG. Optionally available is a package for off-road driving, with electronic differential lock central and reduced.
2016 Mercedes Benz GLS Updates
The new 2016 Mercedes Benz GLS comes standard with all of the latest driver assistance systems: the Collision Prevention Assist Plus, the Crosswind Assist, the Attention Assist and Brake Assist. Optionally, according to the preparations and markets, it will be offered the Drive Assistance Package, which includes Distronic Plus with Steering Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Speed Limit Assist, the Cross-Traffic Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist and Pre-Safe Brake and Pedestrian Detection.
