The new 2018 Renault Clio GPL is powered by the same engine 0.9 Tce of Sandero LPG, 3-cylinder turbo from 0.9-liter with 90 horsepower and 140 Nm of torque. Despite the reduced volume, motor skills offer a discreet panache to the French economy car, which results in an acceleration from 0 to 100 mph in 12.2 seconds.
The commonplace auto LPG equal car “sitting” is absolutely denied, partly because the difference traveling gasoline or LPG does not feel at all. I always appreciate the dynamics of Clio, and carbonated version in this quiet the car turns generous also concerning the driving enjoyment thanks to a chassis and a steering wheel perfectly managed.
The noise is typical of 3-cylinder, but is rather polite and is not accompanied by vibrations perceptible to the steering wheel. In short, performance and comfort I have met.

The Renault Clio GPL retains the same tank for petrol-powered versions of the other traditional 45 liters combined with the LPG tank of 34 litres. Theoretical autonomy with the GPL is 557 km, in addition to other 957 km travelling to gasoline, totaling over 1,500 km. Of course, it depends on the style of driving.
Our test of Clio GPL was short, so we have no feedback on consumption. 6.1 l/100 km are those traveling to gas and gasoline 4.7 l/100 km while travelling. The difference in consumption, as already mentioned, is largely offset by the lower cost of LPG.
The LPG system of Landi Renzo has been developed specifically for the Clio in collaboration between the two companies and is mounted at the factory.
2018 Renault Clio Price; CLIO GPL, SAME PRICE OF DIESEL
The Renault Clio 0.9 Turbo LPG is proposed in two versions Life Energy and Zen Energy respectively at the price of 16,850 and 15,350 euros. The same price of Renault Clio 1.5 dCi 75 PS (90 HP diesel costs more), while the difference with the Clio gasoline is 1,500 euros 0.9 TCe.
Diesel or LPG? On paper the performance of Clio GPL are better thanks to 15 HP more power, while the Clio 1.5 dCi from 75 HP with a torque of 200 Nm making it as robust in climbs and more suitable for the highway. Also the power to weight ratio makes it drivable by novice drivers.
Travel costs are very low in both cases. Taking consumption values obtained in approval and the cost of fuel, there is a slight advantage for the Clio GPL. Not to mention that for short trips you should keep in mind that diesel engines are not the best choice as the particle filter may become clogged. At this point, the GPL becomes the best choice.
