2020 Kia Ceed Sportwagon Review – Nice Interior, Good Performance – The Korean brand presents a new version of the ceed of its family sedan in Geneva. Made in Europe for Europe, this vehicle is distinguished by its carrying capacity.
After more than half a million copies produced since 2007 in its factory in Zilina, Slovakia, Kia launches a ceed version (SW, for “Station Wagon”) of its own, which is in its third generation. Its wheelbase remains unchanged at 2 650 mm. The front overhang was shortened, always 20 mm (to 880 mm), but the rear overhang was lengthened by 115 mm (raised to 1 070mm). This new station has a load capacity of 600 liters (+ 72 liters, or + 14%), which is a remarkable volume for the category (“segment C”). In addition, its threshold has been lowered.

In front of the sedan, the rear suspension was optimized to take into account the increased loading capacity.
The 2020 Kia Ceed Sportwagon offers the same engines as the sedan. In essence, the customer will have the choice between a 1.4 liter 100 hp, a 1.6 liter 204 hp and a three-cylinder 1 liter 120 hp, plus a new 1.4 liter 140 hp block. In a diesel, a 1.6-litre group succeeds 1.7 liters and is still available in two same capacities: 115 and 136 hp. These mechanics are coupled to a 6-speed manual or double-clutch automatic gearboxes (except 204 hp). Note, an optional “ECO” pack, which offers, in addition to a low-tensile suspension, and Michelin tires, a flap of active air opening and closing according to the engine’s cooling needs, in order to improve aerodynamic efficiency and So fuel consumption.

The cockpit accommodates an “infotainment” system manipulated by a 5 or 7-inch touchscreen with respect to the audio system (optional JBL Premium version) and another 8-inch touchscreen for browsing and connected services. The “Jam assist Traffic” is also offered by the 2020 Kia Ceed Sportwagon, a driving assistance in traffic jams that represents a level 2 autonomous driving technology, or “eyes on” driving (stop, restart, keeps track).
